What it is
Rail in the Air puts you at the controls of a cart on a track suspended high above the ground. You speed up and brake so you stay on the rails through tighter and stranger turns, and unlock new stages and maps as you go.
The loop
You play a driver on a rail line in the sky. The track twists, drops and turns sharply, and there is nothing underneath it. Your job is speed: fast enough to make progress, slow enough not to fly off on a bend.
Each stage adds wilder track. Stay on the rails to the end and new stages and maps open up. Come off and you respawn to try again.
Besides driving there are two menus worth knowing: the cart menu and the map menu, both on their own keys.

Early advice
Brake before a bend, not in it. Slowing down mid-turn is usually too late.
Watch the track ahead rather than the cart; the next turn tells you how fast to go.
Respawn (R) as soon as you know a run is lost instead of waiting for the fall.
Open the map menu (M) between stages to see what you have unlocked.
Good fit
People who enjoy steady, careful control more than raw speed, and a bit of height.
Think twice
- Being high above the ground is the whole point; it may not suit anyone uneasy with heights.
- Stages repeat until you learn the right speed.
